Shanda grew up in Northern BC, balancing her time between competitive sports and being outdoors exploring and connecting with nature. In 2022, Shanda graduated from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy with Distinction, and is an experienced therapeutic yoga teacher. She is a passionate student of the human body and is continuing her studies through the Upledger Institute International and the Barral Institute.

Shanda’s whole-body approach was inspired by her own personal experience recovering from a career-altering concussion and TMJ injury while playing hockey, which left her in chronic pain for several years. Through alternative manual therapies she was able to regain her health and wellness, inspiring her to pursue her passion for manual body work and create a practice to help others as a registered massage therapist. Shanda utilizes a variety of techniques and modalities such as craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, cupping, fascial work, muscle energy techniques, and breath work to support the clients individual wellness goals.

Outside of her massage practice, Shanda is grateful to be a faculty member with the Alberta Yoga College sharing her passion and knowledge of trauma informed yoga with future yoga teachers. When she is not working, Shanda loves cooking, photography and spending time outside in the wild with her family.
